Section 66

Section 66 - Who are we?

Section 66 was formed on July 1, 2004 when Section 62 officially split into Sections 65 and 66.

Section 62 was created in Spring 1990 when Section 63 split into 62 and 64. (This marked the first time in the history of the Fraternity that a section was split not because of geography, but because of the number of active chapters in the section.) After the split the new sections held a joint sectional conference year until 2001 when they voted to have individual sectional conferences.

Section 62 gained the northern panhandle of West Virginia on January 1, 2004 and then ceased to exist on July 1, 2004 when those chapters were reorganized into Sections 65 and 66. Never before has a section had to be divided twice because of its growth in number of chapters. Geography Maps
